The Police Use Rape As Punishment

In Washington D.C., police officers used rape as a form of punishment after the Donald Trump Inauguration protests. As many can remember, the Inauguration protests were mostly composed of peaceful protestors and curious journalists upholding their first amendment rights, along with the Trump supporters who were present in order to attack them. The police had arrested many of the peaceful protestors, simply just for protesting, they were not involved in any form of looting, rioting, destruction of private property, or physical violence. There were even people who were simply in that area, who were not even involved in the protests at all, but were rounded up anyway due to the fact they could possibly be associated with the protestors. Bringing many to question, how the police arresting the protestors was constitutional to begin with, in any sense. According to Alan Pyke from ThinkProgress, police officers in the District of Columbia touched their testicles and “fingered” the arrested protestors for their humor and amusement. Shay Horse, a photojournalist from the ACLU stated, “ I felt like they were using molestation and rape as punishment. They used those tactics to inflict pain and misery on people who are supposed to be innocent until proven guilty.” These recent events have of course become a topic of what the mainstream media claims as “nonpartisan conversation”. And it’s strange how the mainstream media has to emphasize how nonpartisan the conversations regarding these recent events are. Have the mainstream Republicans become so violent and radicalized to the point that they don’t recognize the basic human rights of U.S. citizens who are upholding their first amendment rights? It seems as if the Right claims they themselves are upholding “free speech”, when attempting to legitimize their Muslim Ban, the regression of female reproductive rights and LGBT rights, and “Trump’s Wall”. However they are “offended” when peaceful protestors protest an Inauguration? Another thing that should not be a surprise to the American public at all, is how the Police use rape and molestation as a mechanism of fear and intimidation. The Police have been using rape as a mechanism for centuries, and they have always been eager to control and dominate people they know they could take advantage of, because the government fails to recognize their rights. The Police used to rape slaves, they raped many women of ethnic minorities during the era of segregation, they raped feminists and women’s rights activists, as well as members of the LGBT community. So even though cases regarding the protesters are new, the methods the Police used are ancient. And it should not be difficult for people to recognize that.

Torch-Wielding White Supremacists chant Nazi Slogans and “Russia is our Friend” at a pro-confederate monument rally

Nazi-Saluting Richard Spencer as well as other conservatives had traveled to Charlottesville, South Carolina, to protest a City Council vote to remove a Confederate monument. They had organized groups of people to participate in a KKK-style protest, where they wielded torches and chanted, “You will not replace us, you will not destroy us”, referencing their opposition to multiculturalism and globalism, the Nazi chant “Blood and Soil”, as well as “Russia is our Friend” in favor the oligarchial way of life. These chants are used, just like their false propaganda and statistics, to of course advance the notion that whites are being persecuted and that whites are experiencing genocide. To advance the notion that America is a white, Christian nation that must preserve its “European Identity” and “traditional values”. What Richard Spencer fails to realize, just like so many on the Radical Right is that this country advanced itself based on multiculturalism, globalism, and social liberalism. Not the racism, xenophobia, and far-right politics, brought to us through fascism and hatred. Charlottesville Mayor Mike Signer released a statement on the rally, “This event involving torches at night in Lee Park was either profoundly ignorant or was designed to instill fear in our minority populations in a way that hearkens back to the days of the KKK.” It is important to keep in mind in times such as the Trump Era, that it is dangerous to allow the Right to dictate to us and twist the historical narratives, because it allows them to spread their Un-American hate speech and demonization of other people that can deteriorate democracy.

Radical Right Pushes for Muslim Internment Camps

There have clearly been many conservative politicians and members of the conservative media in the U.S. and Europe calling for “certain measures” to combat Islamic terrorism. The “certain measures” that conservatives are promoting these days are Muslim internment camps. Far-Right Extremist Nigel Farage, who played the most influential role in BREXIT, commented on the Manchester terrorist attack on Fox News. He said there should be “genuine action”, and that “if there is not action, the calls for internment will grow”. Michael Savage, the radical conservative radio host, stated that Ariana Grande having another concert to commemorate the dead victims of the terrorist attack is “not the answer to fighting Islamism”. And later said, “how do we know, having internment camps didn’t help us win the war?”, referring to the internment camps of World War II. Is the right-wing advocating for World War II-style internment camps? Is this one of the mechanisms the Radical Right will use in order to push their racist agenda against all Muslims? It is very clear how ignorant and bigoted Trump supporters are, and yes, even the “White Working Class” Trump supporters who voted for him for “economic reasons”. However, the problem is that they are like blind sheep. They will listen and believe every single thing that Donald Trump were to say and do. If Trump ever brought about the idea of Muslim internment camps to his colleagues or to the public. Which to be honest, would not be so different from his Muslim Ban, this country could take a very dark and dangerous turn. Which is what the Right would want in order to advance their message and agenda, to persecute racial minorities, and to prolong and advance white domination, for the years to come.

Republican Congressman Calls for the Murder of All Muslims

Republican Louisiana Congressman Clay Higgins on his personal, verified Facebook page, called “for all of Christendom” to murder Muslims. Referring to Christians hunting and killing all Muslims, he posted, “Their intended entry to the American homeland should be summarily denied. Every conceivable measure should be engages to hunt them down. Hunt them, identify them, and kill them. Kill them all. For the sake of all that is good and righteous. Kill them all.” Clay Higgins, like so many in the radical Right view law and geopolitics as a “holy war”, between the West and the East, between Christianity and Islam. The republicans do not care about the recent Islamic terrorist attacks, but instead report on them, and have conversations and discussions with other people regarding the issues, in order to push their unethical Anti-Muslim agenda.

This is not the first time Higgins has made racist and xenophobic comments either. Higgins, like so many other racists and white supremacists joined the police force, where he had later resigned, for being caught calling black youth, “thugs”, “heathens”, and “animals”. According to the ABC affiliate KATC; Higgins delivered a speech in January showing vocal support for Donald Trump’s Muslim Ban. We cannot let the Radical Right dictate to us and try to paint Muslims with a broad brush. It is important for us to keep in mind that most Muslims do no remotely condone the recent terrorists attacks in London, or any terrorist attack for that matter. The intolerant republicans are trying to push their Anti-Muslim agenda that they have been trying to push for decades, and we must not allow them to persecute others, which is what they love to do and which is what they want to invest in.

We Must Stand Up to Police Brutality

What so many people, especially some Americans, fail to realize is that as early as the seventeenth century, the police have always been the opposition of social and political justice. Police day-by-day “carry out the law”; even if the “law” violates the basic human rights of someone that are supposedly guaranteed. Groups of people whose basic human rights are violated by the police are of course minorities, such as members of the African American, Latin, and LGBT community. As well as people who obtain a lower socio-economic status. Cases regarding police committing sexual assault, rape, beatings, torture, and the murder of unarmed people from these minority communities are undeniably at a record high. If we examine history starting from the late nineteenth century, people who have fought for their basic human rights have been from these communities, and the Police have been on the side opposed to this. In the early twentieth century, the Police murdered the union workers who were striking for livable wages. There were several cases regarding how Police raped the Suffragettes who fought for women’s rights and at the time, a woman’s right to vote. The Police regarding ethnic minorities, wanted to “carry out the law”, in a way that would preserve and prolong racial segregation. And there were cases regarding that the Police would travel to the ghettos to beat, torture, and murder Black and Latino men, as well as rape their wives and younger daughters for their amusement. These cases of course support the old saying “The Police and the Klan go hand in hand”. When people think of ghettos, people tend to think of a part of a city in which members of an ethnic minority group live, typically as a result of social, legal, or economic pressure. However, this is not necessarily true, people tend to forget of the LGBT ghettos, where the police would also carry out these same acts for their amusement. Fortunately, what some Americans have recognized is how the police are not charged for the crimes they have committed, which involve torture, rape, and murder. The Police are generally not charges regarding the murder of unarmed people and people who pose no physical threat to them whatsoever. This pattern is not going away anytime soon, considering their mass support comes from white supremacist, white nationalist, anti-women, and the anti-LGBT masses. Plus, the Police valorize their own victimization and perceived notions of persecution, in order for us to ignore the daily human rights violations they commit. They are also praised by some for simply “carrying out the law”, regardless of whether or not it violates basic human rights or legitimizes racism, misogyny, and Anti-LGBT violence and rhetoric. What we the people must do is request for a mass reform of police departments across the nation. Police Departments must change, and remove themselves from their own fascist behaviors embedded in superiority complexes, sexual indiscipline, prejudice, and amusement through physical torture and violence.

Far-Right Extremist Greg Gianforte Chokes and “Bodyslams” Journalist

Greg Gianforte is a Republican politician who opposes abortion, Planned Parenthood, sanctuary cities, same-sex marriage, and minimum wage increases. Gianforte also has opposed efforts to settle refugees in Montana. Gianforte also approves of Donald Trump’s 2017 United States federal hiring freeze, as well as “Trumpcare” which would strip 23 Million Americans of insurance by the year 2026. As well as Trump’s Wall on the southern border and his racist and xenophobic Muslim Ban. Gianforte has donated to organizations, such as the Family Research Council, Focus on the Family, and the Montana Family Foundation, which are groups that oppose basic human rights of women and the LGBT community.  The recent controversy relating to Gianforte is how he chocked and beat a journalist simply just questioning him and carrying out his job. Another example of how the Radical Right along with their followers do not believe in free speech and freedom of the press, which is stated in the Constitution and is one of the backbones of our American democracy. The Right does not like this factor of democracy, because reporting of factual evidence is rarely in their favor, and it can stop them from spreading their toxic and dangerous message. Which seeks to undermine the concept of democracy itself, along with the human rights and civil liberties that are given through it.

Mike Pence and Gay Conversion Therapy Torture

Mike Pence, the Vice President of the United States has had a long history of homophobia. It has been reported that in 2014, Pence passed the “Religious Freedom” bill, which allows religious and even secular discrimination towards the LGBT community in every scenario. Mike Pence has stated multiple times that he endorses gay conversion therapy, along with their methods. He has also stated that he believes that the government and the state, should fund gay conversion centers through taxpayer’s dollars. Mike Pence believes minor gay children should go through the following methods that abide by the gay conversion procedures. Electroconvulsive shock, cold showers, lobotomies, exorcisms, experimental ways of sexual reassignment surgery, such as genital transplants or mutilations. Mike Pence also believes in injecting minor gay children with Strychnine, which is a form of plant poison. There have been notable scenarios of gay children being beaten with baseball bats, bottom paddles, and cattle prods, in front of their mothers. The gay conversion centers claimed that being beaten in front of their mothers has a psychological effect on their patients. And that these methods would “cure” them, due to what Mike Pence publicly claimed is the “change in their sexuality and behavior”. For the past decades, there have been multiple books, articles, and documentaries that discuss the psychological effects gay conversion therapy patients face. The psychological effects are mainly PTSD (Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder), along with hallucinations and nightmares that are extracted from their memory. Gay conversion centers are funded by many evangelical Protestant and Catholic churches across the nation. Mike Pence has also publicly stated that he wants to use HIV/AIDS research money that certain corporations had received to fund gay conversion therapy centers that commit these acts.

Trump helps Neo-Nazis, White Supremacists, and Right-Wing Terrorists Advance

There is no doubt that there has been a rise of white supremacy, hate crimes, and domestic right-wing terrorism since the election of Donald Trump. There has been more of this activity in the past months than there has been in decades. Trump and his administration have decided to see it through that they systematically lower the funding into research of right-wing terrorist groups and the acts that they commit. According to Lucy Pasha-Robinson, The Independent, “Donald Trump has reportedly frozen $10 million of grants destined to counter violent extremism in the United States. The Trump administration was reportedly pushing to erase Neo-Nazis and white supremacists from the United States government’s counter-extremism program in February by moving it to focus exclusively on Islamist terrorism. The reclassification would remove its work combating far-right attacks and mass shootings, such as the massacre of black churchgoers in Charleston, which are rarely classified as terrorism by American authorities.” Multiple statistics have shown that right-wing terrorists carry out more domestic attacks and murders than Islamists terrorist groups do. Now obviously that does not mean that we should stop researching into Islamist terrorist groups, we must keep in mind how both types of groups follow their own forms of radical religiosity and racism. Also, how the media discusses the terrorist acts related to Islamic terrorism, more than they cover attacks committed by right-wingers and white supremacists, to advance the notion that Radical Islam is the only terrorist force we are currently encountering. We should not be surprised by what Trump and his administration has done, considering that the entire platform of his campaign was financially invested in the demonization of minorities. Also, how white supremacists had a strong influence in his support and in general were practically a prized voting block for Trump’s campaign. The Right of course love this, because the messages the Neo-Nazis and the white supremacists want to deliver is reminiscent. The Republican platforms in recent years have surrounded itself around white supremacy, misogyny, and anti-LGBT rhetoric, as well as the endorsement of physical violence and terrorism.
